NOSE JOB (RHINOPLASTY)

Nose Job (Rhinoplasty)

In addition to the face’s aesthetic appearance, the nose is a vital organ that allows us to breathe healthily. For this reason, our priority is to maintain a healthy function of the nose while creating an aesthetic appearance that matches your face shape.

There are numerous different nasal structures. They are known by names like a big nose, mini nose, hook nose, curved beak, pointed nose, and ball nose. Nose structures may not look aesthetically pleasing in every facial contour. For this reason, we know that there are people who exclude themselves from social life. Changing the psychologically obsessed nose shape is now much more comfortable and more effective.

Below we will discuss several more issues related to rhinoplasty.

The First Step to Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty is an operation performed on people who are unhappy with the shape of their nose. Rhinoplasty, more commonly known as nose correction, is often performed on people who cannot breathe easily because of the nose’s curvature.

The idea that the procedure is challenging due to the difficulties experienced by those who have had rhinoplasty in previous years raises suspicion in mind. However, the situation has become much more comfortable thanks to new methods and the new generation of nasal silicone that are used there.

After botox, fillers, and a few other minor procedures, rhinoplasty is one of the most common surgeries performed today.

Who Is Suitable for Rhinoplasty?

There are numerous reasons for having a nose job.

  • People who are not satisfied with the shape of the nose
  • People who have difficulty breathing because of the curvature of the nose
  • People with deformities in their nose as a result of accidents, bumps, or trauma

We have an age limit of at least 18 years for a nose correction. This is because nasal development is completed by 18 years of age. However, exceptions are made for people who, for example, have had an accident or a blow to the nose. These people can also qualify for rhinoplasty or a nose correction.

Evaluation Before Rhinoplasty

First of all, we want to know about the people who want a nose job, why they want a nose job, and their expectations.

  • Do you have trouble breathing?
  • Is there a seasonal allergy?
  • Has an ENT specialist examined you before?
  • Have you had a blow or accident to the nose at a young age?
  • Have you had surgery on your nose before?

Evaluation for a nose job is critical for an experienced plastic surgeon. They understand what the patient wants, creating empathy, and communicating what he needs to meet these expectations.

Rhinoplasty in Turkey

Our rhinoplasty operations take place in Turkey. There are several reasons why it is chosen to have a nose job in Turkey. Turkey has been the world’s 3rd largest aesthetic surgery center for over 15 years. Every day, patients come to Turkey from Europe and many other countries for plastic surgery.

Rhinoplasty prices in Turkey are meager compared to many European countries. The comfort level is high with its fully equipped hospitals and fully equipped operating theaters.

One of the main reasons for rhinoplasty in Turkey is that we work with highly experienced specialists. Our doctors have experience with hundreds of different nose shapes.

We receive many questions about rhinoplasty every day. Such as: “Who does the best nose job,” “doctor’s advice for rhinoplasty,” “Which doctors do rhinoplasty operations in Turkey,” “Can you send before and after pictures?”

The answer to your questions such as who performs the best rhinoplasty surgery and who is the best plastic surgeon is the surgeon who understands you best and who is behind the surgery he/she does.

How Is Rhinoplasty Operation Performed?

In Turkey, rhinoplasty operations are performed under general anesthesia. The procedure takes an average of 2 hours. It takes about 3 hours for the patient to return to his / her room. In some cases, it may be necessary to fill the nose with cartilage. In such cases, the operation may take longer.

Rhinoplasty can be done with open and closed methods. We prefer open nose surgery. This way, we see the operation more clearly, and we have the chance to intervene more easily.

After nasal surgery, a silicone pad is placed in the patient’s nose. We also use plastic splints on the top of the nose to protect the nose.

Effective painkillers are used during surgery. For this reason, painkillers should not be given within the first 4 hours after surgery. Then you will be given painkillers and antibiotics to help you spend the night comfortably. It is normal to have pain for the first 24 hours after rhinoplasty.

After the rhinoplasty, the nurses will offer ice to your face at night. You will continue to use ice with the information we will give you after your discharge.

The days after the nose job, you will experience swelling and bruising, which is quite normal. Bruising and swelling starts to subside after 2-3 days.

After the rhinoplasty operation, you will have trouble breathing through your nose. During this time, you will use nasal sprays and creams. You spend one night in the hospital. The next day you will be fired after your check-up.

Removal of the Nasal Tamp and Final Checks

The nose pads are removed seven days after the rhinoplasty operation. Due to past rumors, it has been said that removing a tamp is a complicated process. However, this process is now straightforward and completely painless. The silicone tamp has a very smooth structure. The tamp is removed from your nose without you noticing.

The stitches on the tip of the nose are usually also removed the same day. Because the splint is removed from the nose, the tape is stuck to your nose instead. We can sometimes recommend that this tape stay on for another week.

What To Do After a Rhinoplasty?

It is essential to keep the silicone in the nose clean for the first week after rhinoplasty to make it easier to breathe. We will ask you to use the sprays and creams that we will give you. You apply ice to the nose for three days. Ice further prevents edema and swelling in your nose.

  • After the operation, you should pay attention to your health. It would help if you tried to avoid illnesses like the flu and cold.
  • Be careful not to do heavy lifting and strenuous exercise for one month
  • It would be best if you avoided places like a sauna or swimming pool for at least a month.
  • You should not wear glasses for six months.
  • Try to avoid the sun as much as possible.
  • Be extremely careful with your nose.
  • It takes about a month for edema and swelling to disappear after nasal surgery. The bumps disappear entirely after 6-7 months.
