Monday- Soup Day

One of our favorite soups is Spinach Tortelle Soup! It is delicious and easy to make- a winning combination.

This soup is so hearty and filling! If you make one thing this week, make this soup.

This soup tastes best with a big slice of bread slathered with butter. I’m making the easiest bread ever! Butter-topped Beer Bread is another super easy recipe with many yummy flavors!

TUESDAY

As a little girl, I lived across the pond, and really good fish and chips became a way of life. Nowadays, I don’t enjoy this old favorite as often as I did, but once in a while, fish and chips bring back all those beautiful memories of being a girl living in Scotland and England.

I’ll eat my fish and chips with tartar sauce and ketchup instead of malted vinegar like the Brits do.

This beautiful recipe is from Lovefoodies.

WEDNESDAY

Happy Valentine’s Day! We don’t go out to dinner on Valentine’s Day. I don’t feel you get the best meal. Restaurants are overly busy, and many have fixed dinners. And I also feel we are rushed in and rushed out. So we will plan a special dinner out in a week or two. But tonight, a fabulous steak is on the menu!

A ribeye steak is hands down the best steak you can eat as far as I’m concerned. The flavor is so unique! And I’m not sure why people think it is so hard to make. Steak doneright is not only easy but so sexy! You get what you pay for when it comes to a good steak. So treat yourself and buy a good quality steak.

We are having baked potatoes with the steak. I have a love/hate relationship with baked potatoes. When they are done right, they are spectacularly delicious. But when they aren’t, they are horrible. The menu below includes a video that shows us how to bake a potato. These potatoes are excellent!

Thanks, Kitchen Swagger! This ribeye looks so delicious!

THURSDAY

I’ve been sort of into bowls lately. They’re a fun way to eat everything together. Isn’t this bowl beautiful? I can’t wait to make Asian Salmon Spinach Rice Bowls from For The Love Of Basil.

I’m making easy pot stickers for the first time, and I can’t wait to give them a try. Truth be told, I’ll probably eat a lot more pot stickers than the salmon in the bowl. YUM!

FRIDAY

Don’t these taquitos look scrumptious? And they are a Weight Watcher recipe! I can’t wait to make this meal! I love Tex-Mex food, and saving a few calories is smart!

This beautiful recipe comes from Recipe Diaries.

SATURDAY

Fridays are pizza and a movie with our children and grandchildren. I usually make the salad, so we have this beautiful Anitpasta Salad. The flavorprofile of this salad is in my wheelhouse. What a great healthy dinner! I’ll have to add more prosciutto and olives. Those kiddos love them! I’ll be adding anchovies to my salad.

Do you have a family dinner tradition? I’d love to hear in the comments.

Thanks, Sara, at Dinner At The Zoo.

SUNDAY- Super Bowl Supper And Nibbles

Parmesan-crusted chicken should be in everyone’s recipe box. It is so easy to make and goes with so much! And did I mention it is so tasty? I’m making the chicken into delicious sliders. This perfect family-friendly chicken recipe is from What’s In The Pan.

There will be no dinner tonight, just lots of great nibbles! We are having a family get-together, and I know there will be many games, cards, and fun!

TREAT OF THE WEEK

Since we are celebrating Valentine’s Day, I’m making delicious and so cute HEART-SHAPED CINNAMON ROLLS. They are so easy to make and are delicious with coffee as a special treat in the morning.

A few weeks ago, my little granddaughter, Emma Kate, made these with me. She loves sprinkles, so we made a unique blend of sprinkles just for her. When I make them on Valentine’s Day morning, I’ll leave off the sprinkle for Bobby and me.
