Sugar Cookies:

Decorate the cookies yourself with the red and gold colors of the Chiefs. Put your favorite player’s name and number on the cookies. If you have a different favorite player than your party attendees, you can make a competition out of it. Each of you creates your own treat with your player’s number. See who is the favorite with everyone at the watch party.

Or you can bake a cookie in the shape of a football and use brown and white icing. That’s an easy decorating project. Or use green and white icing to create a football field cookie. Yellow icing makes a great goalpost. This is a project the kids can do and create with you. Or if you’re super busy, a bake shop like Cookie Bliss KCcan help you with custom orders, and you’ll be serving incredible cookies like the ones featured in the picture above!

Chiefs-Themed Popcorn:

This is easy, just stop in at the local Velvet Crème Popcorn or Topsy’s Popcorn and pick up a bag, a tin, or a tub! They even have Chiefs options for you. Choose cinnamon popcorn and mix it with their buttered, cheese,, or caramel popcorn. Or DIY your own popcorn bowl with red and yellow M&Ms. You can always buy M&Ms by the color, grab red and yellow, and have them shipped to you in large quantities for the crowd! Load up on Chiefs colors for the Chiefs Kingdom celebration. If you want to skip the popcorn altogether, you could just have a bowl of those two colors of M&Ms and no one is going to complain. 🙂

Chiefs-Themed Pretzels:

Another snack food that pretty much everyone likes, is good ol’ pretzels. Here are easy instructions for DIY coating of your favorite pretzels in Chiefs colors. Or you can buy a gigantic football-shaped pretzel from the Pretzel Boys. Then up your food game by providing marinara sauce and yellow cheese sauce for dipping. The sauces also work with your favorite pizza parlor’s breadsticks.

Chiefs-Themed Nachos:

Red tortilla chips, cheese sauce, and sour cream? That’s right, Chief’s colors. Add some jalapenos and lettuce around the base of the pile for the field. That’s Arrowhead on a platter! Shredded cheddar cheese is what color? Then use whatever kind of protein you want: seasoned ground beef, pulled pork, chopped brisket, shredded chicken, chili, or go meatless with some refried beans. It’s a snack, it’s a meal, it’s a hit with your guests!

Chiefs-Themed Burgers:

Cheese and mustard are yellow. Ketchup and tomatoes are red. The onions are white. Lay out the colorful condiments so that everyone knows you’re a fan of the #ChiefsKingdom and their Red and Gold. Maybe form the burgers in the shape of a football. Top off the burger with a bun that has been branded with the logo of the Kansas City Chiefs. Besides burgers, grill up some hot dogs, chicken breasts, bratwursts or our favorite Italian sausage from Scimeca’s.

Chiefs-Themed Snack Trays:

Snack trays, or Charcuterie boards for the bougie people, are a blank canvas for the creative host. Lay out pepperoni or salami in the shape of a football. Town House crackers are somewhat shaped like a football. Ranch dressing or mayo can be used for stripes on a field of lettuce or the laces on a football. Pretzel sticks can be used to make goalposts. Use red or yellow bell peppers as part of your veggie selection. For the people with a sweet tooth, a bowl of KC Chiefs puppy chow can be served alongside everything in your spread. You can always incorporatepretzels and popcorn from the above sections to put a finishing touch on your creation.

Chiefs-Themed Cakes:

Who doesn’t like cake? I’m sure somebody doesn’t, but who wants that person at the party? (jk we love you anyway) Cakes are another food where you can use your imagination. Food coloring makes any color of icing possible. Snip the corner off a Ziploc baggie full of icing and you can put any design, number, word or name on a cake. Bake a red velvet cake and cover it with cream cheeseicing colored with yellow food coloring or skip the food coloring and just use red and yellow sprinkles. Make cupcakes and top them with your favorite player’s number or a simple plastic football. Or if you’re too busy to bake, pick up a Mahomes cake at McLain’s Bakery. Some of these options are special orders, so plan ahead. But some of them McLain’s will have in the case for pick up.
