Ingredients for valentines charcuterie board
Loaf whole wheat bread: plus a heart-shaped cookie cutter
Meat: Sliced salami + sliced ham
Cheese: Swiss cheese sliced thin + small block blue cheese
Vlasic Snack’mms, crunchy tiny sweet pickles
Fruit: Fresh raspberries + blackberries
Red licorice pieces
Raspberry yogurt pretzels
Gummy candies, X & O’s Trader Joe’s
Dried cranberries
Flower for garnish, pink daisy
How to arrange a charcuterie board
I always start with the center of the board, with a “center star” food item. For this board, I made a plate of cut-out heart slices of cheese and whole grain bread, and rolled ham slices.
Fill the open spaces with the remaining foods.
Always put small messy food items in a small dish (ie, pickles).
